Believes of PWM & Biblical Christianity.

Biblical Christianity adheres to the fundamentals of the Christian faith, as found in the Bible:1) The Triunity of God: the one God exists eternally in three Persons.2) Jesus Christ is fully man and fully God. His death was the substitutionary sacrifice for sinners, and He rose again bodily.3) Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.4) The sixty-six books of the Bible are God’s Word, inspired, inerrant, and sufficient for living a godly life.5) Jesus Christ is coming again to judge sin and rule the world.Any departure from these points represents a departure from biblical Christianity. The words we have in both the Old and New Testaments are described as God’s very words (Job 23:12; Psalm 119: 9; Isaiah 55:11; John 6:63; 2 Timothy 3:16–17). The apostle Paul commends the believers in Thessalonica for accepting what he shared as God’s words to them: “And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe” (1 Thessalonians 2:13). Jesus Himself exemplified the importance of God’s Word. When He was tempted, He relied on Scripture to defeat Satan, saying, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God’” (Matthew 4:4). This is the example the early Christians followed in their faith. In the days of the early church, there was no such thing as cultural Christianity. Believers were in many ways counter-cultural, transformed by Christ’s resurrection and the Holy Spirit. They studied the Scriptures (Acts 17:11). They were biblical Christians. Whereas cultural Christianity is comfortable and focused on cultural issues, biblical Christianity produces believers who are willing to die for their faith based on what the Bible says. Biblical Christianity is historic Christianity.A true Christian has received Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior (John 1:12). He believes that Christ has paid the penalty for his sin (2 Corinthians 5:21). He trusts in Jesus’ resurrection. Jesus said that anyone who wishes to become His disciple must “deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me” (Luke 9:23). A biblical Christian knows what that looks like because he bases his life on God’s Word, not on cultural norms.

               1 John 2:27

But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him.

Apostle Amina Mercera

The Anointing & Gifting

To establish clarity on this topic I would like to start with a question. Have you reached the point in your walk with Christ that you can discern when the gift is flowing vs the anointing?

Is this a question you have heard stated by leaders in the faith but lack the understanding of what it means? I want to give you a quick understanding of what the difference is between the two.

  • Gift- The gift is that, a gift of divine grace, something someone receives from God without having to do anything. The Bible makes mention of gifts in 1 Cor 12.

Gifts are given by God and do not require change or repentance. According to Romans 11:29, God will never take back a gift. Your lifestyle, choices or behavior is not indicative upon keeping your gift. You can prefect your gift, maintain your gift all of the above but God does not require you to do anything to keep it. Once it’s yours, it’s yours!

But what is the anointing?

  • Anointing - smeared on, ointment, done during inaugural ceremony for priest and kings.

The anointing is an endowment by the spirit of God to do a particular thing/ministry. Under the New Covenant, the anointing comes from within.. no just merely a smearing of oil.

THE ANOINTING WILL COST YOU SOMETHING!

So, why does the represent the anointing with olive oil? Well, because the olives must be crushed to produce oil. Likewise, our trials and tribulations allow our flesh to be crushed — causing growth in our anointing.

What am I getting to?

The gift can and will never bring notable, miraculous change! Only the anointing can!

  • Gifted singer? Not anointed..
  • Gifted preacher? Not anointed ..
  • Gifted intercessor? Not anointed ..

Divine Information..!

Divine information refers to knowledge, instruction, intelligence, facts or details relating to or proceeding directly from God. Divine information is given as an act of love to save humanity from Satan, sin and its destructive effects. There are many sources of divine information such as the Bible, the Holy Spirit and the Lord Jesus Christ. The operation of these three complement and do not contradict each other. This truth is established in John 16:14 and in 2nd Peter 1:20-21 which says:

“Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Other sources of divine information including God speaking through his prophets (Amos 3:7); through visions and dreams (Daniel 1:17) and by the use of special signs (1st Kings 13:3-5). The content of a divine revelation can be the unveiling of hidden mysteries (Daniel 2:22), a notification of future events (Genesis 41:25), a revelation of God’s glory, a revelation of God’s salvation (Luke 2:30-32) or a revelation of God’s wrath (Romans 1:18). However, the general response that God expects from you whenever divine information is sent to you is sobriety, compliance, total obedience and immediate action.

“Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.” Hebrew 4:7

Please be warned that refusal to heed divine information in a timely manner could lead to devastating results that may be irreversible. God is presently sending out several divine signals and information. He is calling the Church back from worldliness and a sinful lifestyle to holiness and righteousness. Please do not harden your hearts; today is the day of salvation, tomorrow may be too late!

Desire for Glory!!

“Then Moses said, ‘Show me Your glory.’” (Exodus 33:18)

The greatest longing of Moses, was to see the glory of God. This devoted man of God yearned not only to witness His glory but also to experience and be filled with it beyond measure.

Even among believers, the desires are so very different. Some seek earthly blessings, others long for spiritual gifts, while only a few desire to be completely filled with the fullness of God. Moses was one of those few—his heart’s cry was to see the glory of the Lord.

The Bible declares, “The desire of the righteous will be granted.” (Proverbs 10:24) The Lord recognized the righteous longing of Moses, and responded: “I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before you. … Behold, there is a place by Me, and you shall stand on the rock. So it shall be, while My glory passes by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock and cover you with My hand until I have passed by.” (Exodus 33:19, 21–22). Thus, Moses was given a glimpse of God’s glory.

David also shared this deep desire. He cried out: “One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I will seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in His temple.” (Psalm 27:4)

*Did the Lord fulfill this longing? Indeed, He did! David joyfully testified: “I have seen You in the sanctuary and beheld Your power and Your glory.” (Psalm 63:2)

Do you have such a longing in your heart? Do you earnestly desire to see the glory of the Lord? Jesus assures us: “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” (John 11:40)

Time is swiftly passing, and we eagerly await the return of our beloved Lord. When He comes again, it will be in the fullness of His Father’s glory. The Bible declares: “Then they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.” (Matthew 24:30)

Children of God, all who long to see Him will behold His glory!

Verse for further meditation: “Behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you.” (Isaiah 60:2)

The Law of the Spirit!

The Spirit is the one who gives life, and He does so through Jesus Christ (see John 3:5–8). With the new life comes freedom from the old law—a law we could not keep and thus only led to sin and death. We are now under a new law that brings life. Such is the power of the gospel to save (see Romans 1:16).

We note several things about “the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:2, ESV):

• It is a law. That is, it is a rule that governs us. It holds influence over every part of our lives.

• The law is of the Spirit. That is, the Holy Spirit is the one who prompts us to believe the gospel, and He brings His law to bear in our hearts. We are now under the authority of a new Lord and Master. We yield to the Spirit in order that we “will not carry out the desire of the flesh” (Galatians 5:16, NASB).

• The Spirit brings life. That is, the divine law imposed by the Spirit imparts life—an everlasting spiritual vitality. Jesus likened this to “a spring of water welling up to eternal life” (John 4:14). We have truly been “made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins” (Ephesians 2:1, NKJV).

• The law of the Spirit of life is liberating. That is, the gospel sets us free from the Mosaic Law. The rules, rituals, and regulations of the law could never justify us (Romans 3:20; Galatians 2:16). The law of the Spirit of life does what the law could not do.

• The law of the Spirit of life is liberating in Christ Jesus. That is, the gospel is inseparable from the person and work of Jesus. He laid down His life for ours, and “if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed” (John 8:36). The person who has faith in Christ is, through the agency of the indwelling Holy Spirit, made a member of Christ. Jesus is the vine, and we are the branches; He is the head, and we are the body. The Son of God has “life in himself” (John 5:26), and since we are in the Son, we are given life, too.

Romans 8:1–4 concerning our born-again relationship to the law:

1) The law cannot claim you (Romans 8:2).
2) The law cannot condemn you (Romans 8:3).
3) The law cannot control you (Romans 8:4).

Apostolic_Truth Insight into Leadership!!

As we grow in discernment, we will develop an ability to sense what the most loving stance is to take in each situation.

On the one hand, Scripture speaks strongly against gossip.

■ Proverbs 20:19 - “…do not associate with a gossip.” (See also Proverbs 11:13a 16:27,28; 17:9b

■ Romans 1:29; 2 Corinthians 12:20 – Both differentiate gossip from slander and condemn it as the result of a depraved mind, unfitting for Christians.

■ 1 Timothy 5:13; 2 Thessalonians 3:11 – Both condemn “busybodies” who “speak about things not proper to mention.”

Likewise, some passages defend the idea of confidentiality.

■ Proverbs 11:13 – “He who goes about as a talebearer reveals secrets, but he who is trustworthy conceals a matter.”

■ Proverbs. 17:9a - “He who covers a transgression seeks love, but he who repeats a matter separates intimate friends.”

■ Proverbs 20:19 – “He who goes about as a slanderer reveals secrets, therefore do not associate with a gossip.”

■ Proverbs 25:9-10 - “…don’t reveal the secret of another, lest he who hears it reproach you, and the evil report about you not pass away.”

■ Matthew 18:15 - “If your brother sins, go and reprove him in private…” This implies the desirability of resolving the matter one on one.

We have all seen the wreckage that gossip can cause: feelings hurt, trust destroyed, relationships ruined – and above all, an atmosphere of mistrust and fear. People feel reluctant to open up out of fear people will broadcast it. Also, people may not open up about serious problems, or may sanitize their versions of those problems unless we can offer them the safety of confidentiality..

Merely avoiding gossip isn’t enough. While the Scripture above shows a value for confidentiality between friends, the following passages signal a scriptural value for transparency.

Take, for example, disciplinary cases involving objective and damaging sin.

Matthew 18:16, 17 – The same passage that recommends resolving it in private commands making it public if necessary.

Galatians 6:1 – It must be a public matter if someone was “caught in sin.”

1 Timothy 5:20 – Paul tells Timothy that an elder who “continues in sin” should be rebuked “in the presence of all.”

We may conclude from passages like these that we do not have the right to insist that other Christians cover up our sins. Other passages indicate that discussing others’ sins may be necessary for the healthy working of the local church.
Some features of biblical leadership imply the need for a degree of open communication:

Passages that speak of corporate leadership (1 Peter 5:1ff) imply telling each other about matters that affect the health of the church. How can they shepherd the flock if they do not have access to knowledge about the sheep?

Note: We must maintain a high value for confidentiality even if we’re conferring with a co-leader. We should be able to trust that the sensitive information we’re discussing will not spread beyond the confines of that conversation.

See the examples of “Chloe’s people” (1 Corinthians 1:11), Paul’s discussion of Peter’s sin (Galatians 2), and Paul’s discussion of Demas’ defection (2 Timothy 4:10).

The need for care with sensitive information may be one of the reasons for the high character qualifications of leaders (“not double-tongued”). We need to trust them to handle this kind of knowledge responsibly.
